Can I get invermectin here BC? Like at the Feedstore?
It's weird I keep a hell of a clean coop, not clean enough it seems. I'll have to hit the duck thread, invermectin goes in the water right? Don't want to O.D. The ducks... Or does it come in other forms??

I've bought invermectin at the co-op for deworming the sheep. Yes, I think you'd put it in the water but better check with people that know for sure on dosage. I recently saw this information on the ACE facebook site.

I just did a number... heard the incubator turning so ran to the kitchen. Saw one of the 2 turned eggs roll. Hear a sizzling sound next to my ear. OOOPS burned my hair in the candle I have going for waxing the broken egg. My hair stinks now.

Hope your thumb feels better soon!

One of my bachelor roos has saved his head... He moved himself into the main coop, the big roosters let him oddly enough. He is a diligent roo, stays out until all the hens are in and runs to investagate any disturbance (unlike the current two), dances for the girls and all that good roo stuff, he has put the other two to shame... Now I think the buff Orpington's head may need to hit the block to make room for this young fellow.... I have started calling him King.

lol, smart boy, Sam...

I just started using Ivermectin, so not sure yet on just how good it is, but heard good stuff about it... I think the injectible Ivermectin is what you put in the water, and the Pour On you put 3-4 drops on their skin between shoulders...
Heard it doesn't work for feather lice since they don't actually bite the chickens for blood, so permethrin poultry powder might be good to get as well...

Yay for sweet roos! Hopefully the rest of your bachelors won't have a chance to figure out how to safe their heads! LOL

It's cold out, like a damp cold. Don't like working in that. Still looked around for a set up for my brooder hen. Either fence in the unused bottom nesting box or a plastic tub with fencing as a lid which I could place anywhere. What would you do?

quiet here, must be spring outside!

Sun came out here, gonna go chain saw a bit and pick a chicken for my duck eggs! Just not sure which one yet: the protective mean Wyandotte, the sweet and previously been broody Orpington or do I pick one of the bigger Partridge Chanteclers?

you all rock.... I am cold.... so getting almost nothing done, except barking orders at the kids.

I stupidly didn't put on long johns this morning, so I am too cold to move... and ya' know, go back to my room and put the longjohns on.

I am really hoping that some underwear pop out of the laundry soon... I think that I have been wearing this pair for almost a week now... it is getting a bit old.
