I was under the impression that countries using a VAT tax didn't have a income one. I guess I'm going to stop complaining about our taxes. You pay to much for beer.
VAT tax is on everything right, including food?

So my broody chicken is still terrible at covering her 7 eggs... I wonder if I should take 1 or 2 eggs away from her

she isn't really broody yet, but her poops certainly smell like it.

The 7 in the incubator are doing well. 21 days left.

hmm. The question is if she's been sitting on 1 or 2 and shuffling them around and you take them away, do you have a way to continue incubating them or are they a loss?

I've got a broody bantam English orpington and somehow she is sitting on 18 EE eggs!

I think she could manage them all if she tried.. otherwise they are a loss. This morning I saw an egg sticking out under her wing, more then half way.

Should I give her a week, candle and then determine?

Not counting my ducklings yet, but anything nmber higher then 7 is a bonus.

I should try if those duck eggs fit upright into the incubator. I'd just have 2 separate hatch days?

I'd give her a week and check them. Pull any quitters or non developers. If you think you can get them in the incubator I'd stick the extra 2 in there and hatch 2 different dates.

Beer, food is 14% I think, other goods 24%. Services are usually 24%, but some services have a lower taxation. In addition, the companies pay tax too, of course, on their profit.

A 4.7% alcohol beer gets a 1.51 euro per liter tax. In addition you pay VAT on it. The cheapest lager you can buy goes for around an euro per can. That is usually a product with which you try to get customers to come to your store.

Today was processing day. We got rid of the Maran roosters, all four of them. They weighed in at 3, 3.1, 3.6 and 4.1 lbs once they were vacuum packed. The coop immediately feels a lot larger again, and it is a lot calmer in there.

Hilma has stopped closing the nest. Every once in a while, a little baby bunny will pop up and look around a bit. It's so cute.

@minihorse I think I'll pull two eggs provided the eggs fit in standing up. If I can fit more eggs into the incubator I will. Thank you for the advice and encouragement.
