So, I've got an issue. A black orp bantam chick jumped put of the brooder today when I opened the door. In the process of jumping and me trying to catch it for 15 minutes, it's wing became broken. There is a small bone protruding. It doesn't seem in shock but I have given it a small dose of aspirin just a few minutes ago and I also wrapped it's wing into a normal position and taped it to its body. I don't know if there is anything else I can do in this case or if it's best to put it down.

Not to worry if it doesnt heal the wing will just fall off... She wont be able to fly... But its an easy adaptation.

good to know. I was wondering about amputation it but then again it's only 4ish weeks old so the wing is pretty small and kind of hard to work on. I think we'll just see how it goes and give her some aspirin again in the morning. She is trying to sleep but won't lay down. She stands there and falls face first forward to sleep. I've got her in the house with some call ducklings that are half her size.
