Hurray!

Do you remember about when it hatched out?
jan 1rst :) sad it isnt a colored egg though ah well

Hard decision, Wellsumer roo attacked my 2 almost 3 yr old boy today with a vengeance, luckily I was there. He got his but kicked. My 11yr old got attacked a month ago, I didn't see it and she wouldn't go up and feed them so I could see how he acted. He's a beautiful roo and she is pretty also. But I haven't  got a egg from her in over three months. Both of them and one of my EE hens that I saved from bound crop and I'm pretty sure isn't laying either are destined for the soup pot.  I really like that roo but I can't have them attacking my kids, and I don't plan on breeding wellsummers anymore so he'll have to go, and her and all non hackers! Just don't look forward to it.
It is not worth the risk to the kids.... Especially the tiny kids... They will take out an eye, cause bad facial scaring.

Kill the roo!!!

ahhhh&, I just woke up just to check!

It is soooo cute! Has a small white/yellow strip down it's throat to belly... will get better pics after hatch, but momma broody is doing super excellent! (Was a bit worried cuz her flockmate killed chicks as they hatched) She preened it just a bit very, very gently... :D

@Beer can , we had an aggressive rooster (that was suppose to have been butchered last fall)-anyhow, he broke out of his chicken tractor and attacked my favorite hen (blue copper French maran). He would not let up. Hubby was on the zero turn mower & zipped to the back to retrieve him. The mower didn't even phase the rooster. Hubby grabbed him up & rung his neck. I was cooking dinner, had to put everything on hold to process that darn rooster.

Needed done anyways.

Well, I gotta drag myself to get to work. Going to be a long day. I didn't sleep a wink last night. Back & leg pain. UGH! Luckily I only have to work 8am-2pm. You all have a good day!
