Dixie Chicks

Good morning I see your caffeine intake is getting things working
hugs.gif
... starting to.
Seeing the UPS guy trot up the street leaked a little adreneline out.
My case trimmer left MN 3 days ago, although I think that it's being delivered via Fedex

Back from town. Got 4 bags of chicken feet.. Poor guy still is waiting for his shipment so decided to leave him 1 bag. How nice of me, right?

Filled my truck with some gas.. 80cents/L. Not bad when your truck requires 112L! I had about 180km to empty. Wintertime I usualy don't let it get past half full but decided on the weekend I would wait until today... It's not nice waiting for the gas to pump at -22c...

Chickens now have food, water (some of which went down my leg while turning the water thing over), sheep got some grains. Time to groom the dog now...
what kind of feed do you feed your chickens? nope cant see pumping gas at those temps brrrrrrrr

Morning Everyone. ok my responses as i read umpteen pgs...again

jem- EE's are nice but I'm thinking Cream Legbar because I really want blue eggs, and my luck I might not get blue from an EE. Or some Arkansas Blue's. *dreaming of a colorful egg basket again*

deb- you are a genius! Maybe if you used nylon rope it wouldn't freeze or not as bad?

ooh pillows

amberjem -i found some pics of my SLW's from Privett

Deb, webasto is a fuel powered heater, usually you can start it with a timer or remote.

Jem, I was going to say Vetericyn, but someone added that already. Vetramil is another great product. Antibiotics I would remove from the list, but that's just me. Did someone say Saline already? Good for washing wounds, among other things.

And last but not least, something to euthanize with, because sometimes it's less cruel.

how old are they now @tntchix ? and thats awesome thank you so much for sharing!

thats a good point @vehve do you think that m,ight be better for say a processing kit as aposed to first aid? or would you have to keep processing versus medical stuff separate because of illness and stuff?

@tntchix, yeah, mine is an ancient xp laptop, can't be reformatted or refurbished. :(

Oh, and be careful if you get Cream Legbars for blue eggs, verify that the ones you are considering actually lay blue eggs. The standard says blue and green are acceptable and I received some that were green, so I looked it up. :/
Only time I was glad only one hatched from a batch, lol.

ETA: Very pretty birds!!! :D

think you lost me a bit there???can you expand on that? I mean I get the gene needed for the egg but confused where you had the problem? or is it you wanted blue egg gene but got green?

Jem, I'd keep something to kill them with handy at all times. I have a pair of garden shears about 2 meters from the coop. But I wouldn't mix used processing stuff in with first aid stuff.
