I am so very sorry as well. I know money won't repair that kind of loss. That is just beyond heart breaking. I agree about letting them pay for a good dog proof fence.

We collected a couple more that emerged from the trees/brush...
And just got a message asking for birds for sale...

Half of those were our for sale birds...

@Amberjem your brown leghorn is a pullet!!! That is hen feathering all the way! Salmon breast and the gold in just her hackle area, very nice!

glad you found a few more... whew so glad maybe it's the breed she was the first one to start turning red in the comb...which was why I had suspected cockerel..... sweet looking forward to the white eggs to contrast

well I guess silver lining they didnt get any of the birds you were keeping for breeders n stuff ..loss from the income bites...

Nope... think a family war is now in full swing though... we've wanted a fence between the properties but they didn't... we should be able to get some used panels of privacy fencing if we can afford to get them hauled over... am tempted to use pallets now...

does anyone have any automated systems with their chickens? feeder? waterer? lighting? doors? cam? and if so how do you like it ect? and if you dont want would you like to be automated in your chicken keeping?

If they had gotten in any of the breeder pens there would be no worries of it ever happening again...

well pallets would be cheaper....and maybe they wouldnt like to look at it and will put their own fence up?
