well pallets would be cheaper....and maybe they wouldnt like to look at it and will put their own fence up?

We wish, but nah... they'd just moan and complain but never lift a finger... according to them, we need to remake our pens so that when their dogs get out they can't get to the chickens...

y'all are without leash laws? not to mention their animal attacking and killing livestock but a animal puts the dogs under agressive standing..because of the death of the animals as well can up the penaltys depending on your area's laws ect........ it's not like your chickens were in their yard and the dog attacked..they came onto your property and did it.....damaged the fencing and killed livestock...seems like they'd be liable not only for the death of the animals but also the destruction of property

They say that the fence was damaged already by our other neighbor's riding lawnmower so that isn't their fault... and their dogs are confined to a 10×10 kennel 24hrs a day and are notorious escape artists...
As they are family members, they take everything for granted and none of them ever take responsibility for anything...

does anyone have any automated systems with their chickens? feeder? waterer? lighting? doors? cam? and if so how do you like it ect? and if you dont want would you like to be automated in your chicken keeping?
I have the bottom 6 inches of a 55 gallon plastic drum cut off and an float switch valve hooked up to a water supply. It's not expensive to build either I think the float switch valve was $25 and the drum was just laying aroung
