Oh, I have my first chick from my new mauve orpington rooster. I think it is a mauve!

I have a defective black cochin lf broody. She is broody but doesn't stay on the nest all day like most. I've got 2 blue laced red Wyandotte that are stuck to the nest. Have to pitch them out during feeding just to get them to eat. One chocolate orp hen who is getting the call duck eggs and now the black orp possibly. I broke one of the chocolate orps, the barred cochin and the 2 ohiki now have those 4 chicks.
