I always display the npip papers prominently on the side of the box I am shipping. That way there is no question.

uhg, called my local vets office about the inspection and he is USDA certified but their receptionist is a PITA. She was like oh we don't see birds. Uhm yeah, I know Brian on a personal level. Let me talk to him. Oh he's out of the office till the 14. Blech. I'm fairly positive he'll sign the USDA papers.

Nothing allowed into NY and many other states that isn't AI monitored. No eggs even. I wonder how they know, the paperwork that came with SandHill's box was unopened...?

We'll have an awesome duck egg swap next year. And if hubby's unofficial job offer in Vancouver takes shape, we'll be even closer for swaps. We want to be back on the coast next year.

Maybe I can interest you in Partridge Chanteclers too

mine did fantastic with the cold climate. Uninsulated, coop, 1 red heat light and they were bouncing around the coop at -30C.

I know, right? Dang vacations. I'll catch him. If I can't get him I'll call my other local vet and see what they say. I don't use them as often. I've got a call into my NPIP tester also as I want to see what she says.

I was looking into Ancona's here and wasn't able to find much, either related to where I got mine from or they quit breeding them, or don't ship or none available, or... I was just about ready to say "my 5 are pets" A shame since they are so rare here.
