Hummm... I don't really know.... I don't think that I see any brown on him at all (the dark gray chick). The photos I pull up for blue quail still have a bright brown/golden breast.

We have to wait until he grows up.

I am pretty sure that two are buff columbian, and a few are silver quail.... Might have one millie fleur... Tricky to tell at this age.

Looks like about 50/50 with sex... I am scared to look too closely though.

I am tickled though that it looks like I have a pair of goldnecks!

Oh... Do you think the blue Marans is female? It isn't as bright red as the clear males of the same age... But it has more color and more comb size than the clear females....

Arg... Reading that.... Makes you think it is more likely male... Huh?

If it is a blue male, with NO copper, how do I breed that to my hens with so little copper? Crazy.

Of course a blue Marans is so much nicer than a Lavender, since then 50% of the chicks will be blue.... Instead of just split to Lavender.
