LOL! Love the names!

@perchie.girl , sorry life is so rough right now for you. Hopefully someday soon it will all straighten out. I think we all at some point or another have depression. My upbringing would depress anyone, but I have managed to overcome. I could probably be considered a mean person. You get one chance in my life. Hurt me once & you are done. I don't need negative, bad people in my life. Therefore, I have cut ties with a lot of my family. My family has not been here for me, so I don't feel any guilt of cutting ties.

My back hurts so bad everyday that I wish I could throw the covers over my head & not move. But DH doesn't work because he had quadruple bypass heart surgery 10 years ago (he was only 41 years old) & is just getting worse & worse. State of Ohio denied disability for him because he smokes & is obese. So, I have no choice but to work. I told him the other day, I think I am going to buy a cane to help me get out of bed. And I am serious. It's that bad. My poor 9 year old has geriatric parents!! LOL! She thinks we are a normal family & therefore tells her teachers that she has a bad back, bad hips, her chest is hurting, etc.

I didn't get to see the chickens last night because we packed up a picnic basket when I got home from work & took advantage of the only day it is not suppose to rain for the next week

The rain is ridiculous here. Why cant we ship some to Washington? We had a nice picnic/grill out at a park down the road. It's nice to just watch nature. We see a lot of that here where we live thankfully. I love our little 3 acre lot! There is a doe & her fawn that live in the back of our property. She is a 3 legged deer.....for real. Someone didn't have a clean shot on her. She has been hanging around here since we lived here (3 years). I was happy to see she now has a baby.

I need to get rolling. It's almost 8am & I haven't done a thing! I'm off work today & have laundry & dishes to catch up on. It's pouring down rain outside. Our garden is once again not going to amount to anything this year.

Sorry to hear jw. Like they say, you can choose your friends not your family. While my family doesn't always immediately support me, eventually when they see that I did make the right decision in the first place they come around. I am at a point where parts of the family doesn't hear about plans until I am in the midst of it or are completed. My husband on the other hand is very supporting. He is what I need.

Yesterday we finally let everyone into the new run. Turkeys, ducks and chicken s are all happy. Today we need to purchase a kiddy pooly and finish the top row of the fencing and its done. :)

Thanks! Wanted to double check, lol... btw, Jim says he's never seen chicks like the Ohiki... usually when doing pics they turn away from his hand so I can get good shots... they just looked at it and tried climbing over, lol... :D
they are fearless and love attention. I love my ohiki.
