Two is wonderful...three would be even better....Now...knowing the fate of roosters here....does anyone want a DARLING blue (if it is roo) pure Americauna roo? Oh dear...maybe it will be edible. Will have to find out what the other chick is. Pictures to follow...all I have right now are non-descript "could be anyone's pic" cell phone pics of one new hatch. I will drag out the Nikon...and take the pics to Walgreens...put on disk....ain't "planned obsolescence" grand? used to work directly into my puter...before the Nikon became "obsolete."

Anyway....tickled with my very own yard hatched babies. Some hen....I have not had a broody soo dedicated since I had a silkie who'd raise any old egg you put near her.

There is probably after market software you can find.... often times its free.

@Mahen100 yes, they certainly are... as for sharing, you share what you're comfortable with... this has become a very supportive thread without judgements... to be able to share our successes and our struggles and mistakes without fear of condemnation that could happen elsewhere is an invaluable thing...

Wow, have not posted for a while. Reading such intimate personal disclousure, wishing I had shared more openly myself during recent rough moments. Signed in to say "don't ya just LOVE chicken people??? I mean really. Twenty one days ago, (twenty two actually) I pulled into the driveway of a total stranger because of the "fresh eggs for sale" sign at the street. (And the sign at the door said they sold honey as well! Yay. But, when the lady and man of the house, on separate lawn tractors arrived...the honey had not come in yet....and they did not know if any of their eggs were fertile. When I explained I had just had to give up my rooster and had a now broody hen...She walked me to her hen house...and gave me the three eggs we fround there....One blue one she said was from a pure Americauna...and her Americauna roo....but being a pullet egg she didn't know if it was fertile....and two other eggs. Well, she would n't let me pay her for them...wished me luck...and was simply delighted when I phoned her to say the first one had hatched last night. And now today a second one is obviously healthy under my good broody...her first broodie...and she is showing each where to drink, where to eat, and even momentarily offered one chick part of a blueberry I had just fed the momma....before she could wait no longer with this chick...and gobbled it herself. So far a very nice and patient mom! ...and aren't chicken people just the best kind of people ever? Yup,yup.

This is wonderful! Chicken people are just great!

I read about it - it said the bubbles will not POP, they stay intact. Well who wants bubble wrap now? Maybe you can stock up on the old"poppin" stuff when they put it on clearance. Many a time I have accidentally stepped on bubble wrap and it sounded like a gun shot and scared the daylights out of me. Gosh, I love bubble wrap.

OMG I just saw the date 7-7 It's my BIRTHDAY, and I forgot all about it

Funny how things slip the mind when you have insomnia. It's also garbage day and I forgot which lidded container is for food garbage and which is for recycle stuff. One has a yellow top and one has a black top. I was fine doing it all this time and now just realized I can't remember. Guess I will have to inspect the neighbor's garbage and see how they did it.
