Dixie Chicks

400

Lady Grey is getting closer to Crash and Burn...

400

Then insisted on a close up, lol...
She's also in flight training now... is doing short hopping flights...

@ApiaryandAviary oh just horrid! :hugs

Mini ... Arg! That would drive me batty!!! Don't you live in the land of giant shopping malls and all things to buy? They don't sell chick shipping boxes at your local corner 7-11??? :lau

OK... That would make me crazy, so :hugs for the stress

Ravyn!!! I am thinking that next year I will have to hatch lots starting in February.. i am now jealous!! I have all of these tiny little things! :sick (Nah, actually, very cute :D )

My oldest grow outs were hatched April 18th ish.

I have a feeling that that isn't old enough to lay... They sure do look pretty small still.

True... True.....

But I want them to show me what they will look like as adults.... Now..... And lay eggs...... Now.... So I can see what I got :lau

There are two (both male  ) d'anvers that have colors growing in that look like Isabella colors! So pretty! No idea what color they are supposed to be :idunno

I can't wait to see what I have.... Then we will have to decide if I want to breed all of the colors higgelty piggelty... (But it might make them all ugly and muddly), or if I want to breed them with my Ameraucanas for pretty blue egged EEs (and then we could see if my genetic defect is due to the male or female Am, or both)

Or, I could actually be studly and breed true colors and true breeds :lau See? I gotta see what I have!

By the way Ravyn... Are you still feverish???? Had any hot chicken soup?

Decisions, decisions... lol...

Sounds like your 2 males *could be* Porcelain d'Anvers, maybe? I know they have those, and the coloring is similar...

I think you should talk to mini once you know what colors you have, or just email Aubrey and ask... Aubrey states on the descriptions for egg auctions that you can email and it will be answered... even offers advice for people with lines not theirs (think that was Ohiki though)...

Anyways, couldn't hurt to ask and you'd get best info from the source... :)

Fever still up and down, hasn't broke yet though... no chicken soup... to ****** hot here for that... I want ice cream... :(

Good morning all! I skipped out yesterday I guess....It happens. Work, life, kids, yeap.

@ApiaryandAviary , Not sure exactly what to say except I'm so sorry that your son is suffering & that you & hubby have this going on. I cannot even imagine what you all are going thru on a daily basis. I will pray that the doctors find a correct balance with his meds and his issues. We are here for you whenever you need us.

@Alaskan , DUCKS!!?!? I thought your spouse was not crazy about the whole chicken idea. How did you sneak ducks in there? I am only asking so that maybe I can somehow slip a few out back....

@BriardChickens , Never had any experience with raising sheep. Not crazy about goats though. Had a bad experience when I was in kindergarten and a goat at the zoo ate my name tag----because the teacher had told us that if we lost our name tags we were in trouble. LOL! Crazy goats.

<---------- Miss that. And miss you too. I skip around on BYC due to lack of time. Anyway, did I see you are moving? I thought you and DH were working so hard to get your home personalized for you and the chickens (and the turkey). Why are you moving? Sorry if I missed something.

Got a lot to do today. Usual right? My chicks are getting bigger & some of the pens are now getting overcrowded. And overcrowded is not good. So, after work today, I have to build another cage! I have also skipped out on walking the past few days and my son is not going to let me skip today....not that I want to. Haven't lost any more weight, but haven't gained any more.

You all have a great day!!!

Thank yous to all
The staff have to keep their 2 ouncers in their pockets now bc he is not the only one. Back in 2013 he got a hold of a 6 ot 8 ouncer bottle and the Doctor caught him with it. After that they went to smaller sizes by 2014 he got their 4 ouncers. Now they are only using 2 oz on THAT ward.
