Dixie Chicks

I've stuck in a walking boot till next week then I'm cleared. pain is way down and I can bear weight on it for periods of time. I'd say by next week I'll be OK in an ace wrap but I'm stuck in the boot till thursday

it's 2 rabbits maximum. I don't have the space for 3. rabbits are much simpler than chickens and don't require near the care. plus I'm way down in birds. it's less than an hour to feed birds and horses now bit I do have more to sell and butcher.

That sounds a bit more manageable then, mini... ;)

Did you see, the Ohiki are laying?? And Lady Grey's eggs got to decent size and they're developing nicely... :)

Chickens don't have hands to thaw them out.

Lol! Maybe they can lick them??
I've heard they only freeze in extreme cold, rarely. But no experience myself. Thought I'd build a couple with five gallon pails and birdbath heaters, but lack xtra $. Just bought two 2gal rubber pans on sale at TSC.
Got to put a few more in freezer, one EE/welsummer cross (might just split it and toss it on the grill, small), white giant, langshan, cockerels, to save a little more on feed $ right now.

They say giants grow frame first, body mass meat later, I believe it. He's way bigger than the sussex, weighs only one pound more. Twice the size of the sussex pullets and only two pounds more. 19 weeks?
