Dixie Chicks

no, not at all!

Ya know you get all the credit too, lol... I take full blame on any screw ups with breeding...

wanna buy some golden comets? :lau

And what the flock would I do with those??? Just sold off all our Sulmtalers and almost every Marans I had to make room for the ducks...

Did you hear we're up to 127 now??

But did sell off a dozen drakes...

I am downsizing.
No really.
I emptied out the 20x41 ft building and even gave it to my hubby to keep from tempting me to refill it. Now I only have the (12 ) 10x20 ft runs out by the orchard and creek and also the pole building for the chicks and broody girls. Hubby is real proud of me down to only around a hundred now. 07 May and 21 May I am giving away English Orpington chicks, Ameraucana Chicks & Easter Egger chicks at the TSC in Ridgeway/ Martinsville, Virginia. I am giving away because I can. Because I am insuring the breed's future. Also many people can afford the feed but can not afford the $25-175. Per chick. Hopefully down the road they too, will be able to give to others a few chicks and help them out. I do plan to add heritage breeds back to the farm. But very few.

127 duckies? That is a lot of kiddy pools!:bow

lol... we aren't gonna keep them all...

Ravyn, how did you get up to 127? I missed that size jump.

Well, someone owed me some eggs from a swap last fall, sent 30 for me being willing to wait...

Within a week when those were due, I hatched a bunch and Lady Grey and Crash group hatched... was close to 60 in that week...
