Dessert is a sweet treat.... LOL.... Desert is where I live.

I have a whole desert... but its owned by other people... Or the county.... there is some BLM land but thats owned by the feds.

Truely here its the wild west. You can conceal and carry without a permit on your own property. Same goes for having a loaded gun in a holster on your hip. on your own property. Shoot across your property lines or step across them you can get a nasty fine.

I do have one canyon on my property I believe I could shoot in. Its rimmed with Granite rocks though.... Probably not the best place to shoot. My neighbor Tom's property borders on BLM land.... He shoots toward the BLM. I could probably practice shooting there. But I am afraid there is no clear sight and If I were to miss the bullet would go over the horizon. There are A LOT of Border Patrol and humans working through the Chaparral.... Border patrol following human trails.

So heaven forbid I hit someone... learning the ropes.

There used to be an open space facing a mountain that was all Decomposed granite.... Everyone including the Police went there to practice.... but it changed hands and the area was fenced with no trespassing signs.

I will talk to Tom.... Maybe he can teach me how to care for it.... he shoots and reloads. He makes his own bullets too out of tire weights.

You can get a Fido Shock charger pretty inexpensively its good for a couple of hundred feet but easy to install and I believe they are under fifty bucks.

As Far as I know she only ate a piece from her last birth... She has four kids and it's quite the process trying to have a baby here long story... So with her fourth child she had an unattended homebirth and the reason behind consuming the placenta is it is believed, if not proven, that it prevents hemorrhaging if you consume it... It has other benefited as well, with similar nutritional values to any organ meat.
Sidenote I didn't even want to see mine ( placentas ) after I had my boys

Its supposed to have minerals and hormones in it to help with postpartum depression.... we are the only mammals that dont consume it. even herbivores will eat part of it.... like cows and horses.

Looks like my welsummer's eggs are getting darker and more spotted .The one on the bottom right is from today.
