Virpi hasn't really improved since yesterday. I hope she starts eating properly today.

At least we've got some sunshine again. It's really heating up the run.

Jem, starvation due to being broody for too long. At least that's how it seems.

how old is she wasnt she one of the eggs you hatched from store eggs?

No, she's a Finnish Alho landrace, one of the POL pullets we got. About 13 months old now. None of the store bought eggs made it through incubation when we tried them.

darnit just realized it's 3am again...been waking up at 3am all week and not getting to sleep until midnight at least...going to lay back down shortly rehydrating.........

ah how old is she now? I had thought maybe she just wore out fast if she was a store egg .......is her poop normal?

About 13 months. She's not pooping much, nor is she doing much of anything else either. But the poop she did produce looked pretty ok, did smell quite nasty. She's not worn out from laying at least, so far she's only laid 55 eggs.

so is there anything you can give chickens to give them a little digestive boost?

High energy food, quality protein, water with electrolytes etc.
