Hi all! I wanted to post a pic of my eggs, but computer is not cooperating. We got 27 eggs today.
Little girl and I did serious chicken math last night. I have not known or cared how many chickens we have for months. I know when one is missing. We now have 53 total chickens. 14 are roos, so 39 hens and pullets. Getting one more roo this Saturday. Black copper French maran. He will be part of our breeding program this spring. Breeding him with BCFM hen, Blue copper French maran hen, 1st generation olive egger, 3rd generation olive egger, and a couple of Easter Eggers. He is going to be a busy roo.
@Alaskan , the eggs that you said look gray, they are dark olive green. From my 3rd generation olive egger. I don't know how dark the egg was that this BCFM was hatched from. I will ask her Saturday. The price is right though.
Plus, I NEED one! I also need to butcher 8 roosters as soon as we have decent weather.

yummy reminds me I need to grab a bite to eat I been so mezmerized by my lil chickies I forgot to munch anything lol
