Dixie Chicks

Hi, Amberjem, nice to meet you too. You live near my old stomping grounds, lol. Babies? I gots babies! :D

Mini Buttless Wonders!

Love TN very much, but only been here a year and a half, lol. Don't really know anybody as we live in the country and I am not one who is very outgoing, until I get to know ya.
Umm... Lots of different breeds... Started with a couple EE's and a few PR's for eggs, but now have...
Ameraucanas (BBS and Lav)
Araucanas (bantam and LF)
CCL's
BCM's (black and blue)
OEGB's
Sulmtalers
And a couple Barnevelders and Bresse. Chicken math, lol. And a very enabling fiance. He bought me a redwood cabinet incubator for Christmas! :D

ETA: And thanks for the welcome! :)

Welcome to the group! I am in TN as well. Idiotswife and Bamadude are just south in Alabama. So there are a few southerners around. I just can't remember who all they are lol

Hi, JW12! Is good to meet you. I hope to get to know them as well. I am a transplanted Northerner, but love the South! It's nice to have neighbors wave as I drive by instead of flying the well known bird, lol.
I looked at the Middle TN thread, but haven't posted there yet. Newbie jitters, I guess.

Silly people, thinking you're Northerners... I bet you even have daylight this time of the year.

Ok, it's not quite that bad here either, we do get our 5 hours. Almost all the snow had melted away, but now it just started snowing again. If it freezes over with all this semi melted snow on the ground, the ER:s are going to be packed with people who have broken their bones.

I picked up 10 bales of straw, and came to the conclusion that I had drastically over-estimated the storage space we have available. Now our outdoor storage is completely packed again...

Also emptied the compost, and we cleaned the run a bit and threw in a fresh bale of straw for them. I forced the big birds out on the yard for a while.

I took some pics of the chicks too, but my phone is being very slow at transferring them.

Pretty chooks, vehve. :D
Haven't had much daylight here lately, don't think I've actually seen the sun in last few days either. Overcast and it is either raining, drizzling or getting ready to, lol.
Think I need to get some straw or hay too. Tired of sliding down our Hill of Mud.

Okay, then some chick pictures. They're 2½ weeks old now, should be some sort of Cuckoo and Wheaten Marans mixes. Anyone care to venture a guess on genders? I say all boys. It's a bit hard to get decent pictures though.

They are all super nice on the middle TN thread! I have met a few and swapped some birds around. They just aren't very chatty lol.
