gosh and everyone I might have missed!! think I am actually awake enough to communicate now lol. whew other then waking up few times actually got some decent sleep last night

How is everyone doing? briefly saw bunch of yummy things... whats for breakfast?

@vehve as to cold and rabbits so long as they have non frozen water and no drafts they are good to go in cold, only issue is if you wanted to breed babies in winter would need a bit more warmth for that just to keep babys warm n safe..plus the does will slow down on breeding then if outdoors and it's very cold...and yes rabbits will try from a chicken nipple........... friend who I worked with when I had my rabbbitry has auto watering system that she used for her rabbits in the warehouse and was a chicken thing

broody somehow managed to get out of her box ....

did I mention it's -25C outside so eggs would get cold very fast....

Peep, I have to admit, the whole rabbit show stuff is something I don't get. I like the utilitarian side of it, growing them for meat. Same goes for chickens, they give meat and eggs, I don't really get the showing of those either. Just not my thing.

Four-day weekends make it easy to be snoozy

I love skulls etc. and used to drag them home when I found the tree planting all the time. My best find ever was a set of moose sculls their antlers were totally in twined... must've been rutting and got stuck together and starved... They were so heavy punky chicken had to bring them out of the bush for me on the four wheeler... He was my foreman lol.

So here's my little story...
I was out of every kind of feed I need ( except for a little bit of starter for the chicks ) no duck food, chicken food, grower... I was out of shavings to... So I braved the terrible weather conditions ( of course ) to go retrieve feed for my blessed critters... I drive past the feed store and see that they're open sign is still off... they are still doing inventory... The string of obscenities that came out of my mouth was nothing short of vulgar ( I have a mouth like a trucker ) so I drove on ( swearing ) and ran to the grocery store to get a few people things... On the way back home I thought I'd stop at the feed store and see if they would let me in, somebody's got to be there... He let me in!!!

Even though it will probably screw up his inventory the man let me buy my chicken food etc I needed...he couldn't let my critters starve he said... So the whole point of this silly story is what can I get a feed store owner as a thank you present?

The comany I was expecting changed her flight out of town so I wont be doing it. But I will share the recipe once I make it.... Because I will be making it up as I go...

Yep and mine free range without a schedule so it's tricky there too. I'm switching to a tote feeder that will hold a 50 lb bag instead of the two bucket feeders that leave me with an 1/8 of a bag leftover each time which drives me crazy by the way.   I won't need to store open bags this way and top off the feeder that often. Hopefully, this way I will remember how often I fill it. (yeah sure I will) 

I just filled two big totes 50 pounds apiece for duck feed now onto making 50 pounds or so of fermented feed for the chickens... The ducks don't seem to be going for the FF in the winter it's interesting...

X2 on the baked goods.  Muffins are always appreciated (especially delivered warm when the doors open) and more personal than cookies.

Can't help that only feed store within less than an hour and a half of me... ha ha
Thank chickendom he answered the door... I would have had to drive a good hour and a half on crappy compact snowy blizzard roads...
