Oh man! Have you seen what passes for food in the hospital I mean are they trying to starve their patients or poison them?? I mean a real meal isn't that hard to prepare! people in logging camps eat better than hospital patients and that's not right. My renter has been in the hospital, he's had a severe mental breakdown, and they keep bugging him about not eating and like he said "have you seen what you're trying to feed me?" Agh.

very true and I have to with him he has just enough teenage pup in him left that he needs both the physical and the mental stimulation to get him properly mellow...I am constantly doing trouble shooting types of play with him to get him thinking and learning to process and think and react in constructive manners.. I am also doing scent training with him which is waking up his nose and also learning such a dabbing bit of scent onto something then he has to go find it and locate it thoroughout the house and bring it to me so he is actively thinking and also learning identifying particular objects by name........Yup, a chihuahua can always be picked up, harder to do with a St. Bernard...
Jem, you should also make Loki work a bit extra on days that he can't get as much exercise, maybe spread out the laundry again and have him pick it up, and other tasks that he's trained to do. Mental work can be just as tiresome as physical activities.
ick I have only been hospitalized twice for my kids. I never ate the hospital food but I remember serving it to family members.Oh man! yepHospital food alone will make you want to get well quickly. It's a cafeteria nightmare on a plate.
Maybe that's a strategy....

Felix, I am committing this phrase to memory. I am so quick to say sure all the time then I have to call and cancel. I gotta stop that. This will help.Sam, that's why you always answer the question "Got any plans for...?" with "I think I might have some plans then, I have to check... why?"
Although dog sitting can be fun. I usually try to teach the dog something during it's stay. For some reason it's usually to not pull on a leash.
Jem, hope you got it dumped in it's final resting spot, not fun to move that much...
My St. Bernard was so mellow you could move him with your leg across the wood floor if he was in the way. Man, I miss Tank. We have always had bigger breeds, tough to handle if you are not top dog which for the longest time I wasn't. LOLYup, a chihuahua can always be picked up, harder to do with a St. Bernard...
