Yeah, that would be pretty cool too. But we're going to throw together a tractor for them too, so they'll get to feed on grass. Karin had an epiphany for making the tractor, it's going to be super cool.

Yeah I don't do Facebook although chickens may be a worth while reason.

I put a FB page for my chickens. It's taking a long time to get it out there though.

I am on facebook for long distance friends... and now chicken stuff. Facebook is also how I keep in touch with many briard breeders. So dog stuff...

I use FB to keep up with friends and family I don't get to see mostly.

I'm running late on my good mornings but good morning everyone! Woke up to almost 4 inches of snow and the roads were a mess. I know that's nothing compared most of you guys but still wasn't expecting it. At lunch right now, running these duck eggs to the post office. I've got tons to do! Getting close to hatch day for my eggies. I've got 8 days on my broody hen and 9 days on the incubator. I had to pull some clears and I had one quitter about day 6. The rest look great and are very active! Especially the svart hona. I'm not looking forward to raising chicks in the house as it's too cold on the side porch like I normally do. Hope everyone is having a good day! I'll catch up later today.

And I despise greenfire, they burnt me with "purebreds" that were mutts.

Oh my! I was looking into getting chicks from several places and they were one of them. The place I wanted is currently out. I will wait till their girls get busy aagin bc I can not afford to suffer a loss like that. BTW, I have heard it before at older posts along with they got purebreds but of low quality so I will wait on mine and get from Fancy Chicks or someone else that has high ratings. I will keep searching this site for a thread that others highly recommend. Thank you for your unvarnished truth.

yes, fancy chick is a very good choice for orpingtons of any color! I'm not much help on the tolbunts. I'll look around.
