7 has sort of the same feel as xp had... Vista was a complete dud. The metro UI in 8.1 I really dislike, and a lot of things are missing from the desktop view. But, rumor has it 10 will be a lot better.

Steaks for dinner tonight, I've got some beautiful entrecôte thawing. Karin's dad had bought a 2 kg hunk of it for us last weekend, he found it for 9.90€/kg, and it's Finnish meat. A steal, really. I cut it up into 14 steaks and threw them in the freezer.

entrecote corresponds to Ribeye here. My favorite cut of beef. If it has the ribs on it and roasted in the oven as a roast it becomes Prime Rib or Standing Rib roast. Even though its the same meat from the same part of the cow it tastes very different roasted that way.

And Yes you can do just two ribs its enough to feed four people. Done it. Roll the meat in Cracked pepper and sea salt and what ever herbs you like and roast it at 500 degrees for the first part of cooking to form the outside crust... then turn the heat down and roast x amount of minutes per pound....

serve with horse radish mixed with sou cream and au Jus....

JWB, that doesn't sound very motherly... but I know nothing of bunnies so far (in practice). I would have thought the doe tries to keep them warm?

The doe will build a nest from what ever bedding is available. She will then pull fur to line the nest. The kits huddling together keep one another warm. The doe will visit the nest several times a day to nurse the young. Part of this is a survival mechanism - a doe constantly at the nest might serve as an attractant to predators. I have seen crows closely watching cottontail does hoping they will lead the crows to the nests.

I seldom know what's going on. Yesterday, I checked every couple of hours, and there were "no new posts" in this thread. clicked in and out, refreshed, nada. Then when I signed out of BYC, and glanced back at the computer, there were two pages of posts that were from the hours I'd been checking.

Maybe in some counter has maxed out?

@ Alaskan Does the "free app" come with a user agreement? Like "I agree to let you mine my device for anything and everything we choose, and use the info any way choose, including selling the stuff we have mined to others??? (and they bury the scary stuff on the 18th page and figure they've worn you out and you've already clicked "I agree" before you figure out where all the spam and popups are coming from? I see so many things I would love to have, but I worry about apps...including the "free ones" that come on my android. I think apple products are better about it, but I don't own any. (sorry,:: steps down from soap box::, I long for the "good old days" when free was really free on the internet, and open source was something that was rich, and sharing was sharing for the fun of it.
