Dixie Chicks

This is Bella... I just noticed she has five toes. It's hard to see but they are pretty neat feet...

DUDE that she be turned into furniture!!!

amazing that you burn that stuff.... up here I get to burn spruce, spruce, spruce, and if I pay out the nose Birch and Alder.
I sure wish I could send you all the trees we need to replace. Most all good burning but not worth building with. They would last you years!

We have the mama and her bunnies inside....

in our laundry room in a crate. Yeap. Not the best set up. It's just been so freaking cold outside. This is the only time I will have a rabbit in the house unless I am treating it for some reason.
My daughter and granddaughter love rabbits. They were pets kept inside. when it was exercise time my granddaughter had to follow the bunnies around the house. They also had many guinea pigs. So cute but I wouldn't want to keep them in the house either. And Best Wishes at the bank!!!

OK.... I didn't wait as long as I was gonna...

some eggs have much better development than others....

I was super worried about that...

I bought some nutritional brewers yeast to up their intake quality.. but that stuff IS SO EXPENSIVE, and I ran out.... and so they are back to pellets and scraps.

So, I am worried that maybe the nutrition of the hens isn't good enough?

Maybe there will be a bunch of quitters and it will be all my fault because I wasn't feeding them good enough feed...

And I need all of these chicks to hatch.. because I have a bunch of people wanting to buy them.

One of the jobs I used to have to do at the dairy plant was mix making. You have usually three pallets of powders, sweet whey, starch, salt, gums. 50lb bags 50 per pallet. there is a lift to bring them up to you but you have to drag them off, slice them open and dump them in a hopper just as fast as you can, it gets pumped through a mixer that blends with the liquids, milk, cream, water. Can't let the hopper run out or it sucks air and foam up the mix. I'd do minimum two a day, usually three. Over 20,000 lbs of bags a day, by the end of the week your hands hurt from dragging and lifting bags.
Now I have a job that I sit on my butt all day and watch HMI computer screens and play on my phone, I like it much better.
