Dixie Chicks

so are you gonna build a bantam coop? what made ya get bantams?? were they just too cute to resist???
Yep, that will keep em safe, since I said I am not having bantams EVER again. Yes, the teeny, tiny, cuteness overloaded my circuits...and then there was Trena looking at me with her dang puppy dog eyes. sheesh i'm a pushover.

The cool thing about really green tomatoes is you can flavour your canning how ever you like... Because they don't have a strong flavor really just a bit of acidity... Saw a recipe that used strawberry Jell-O with green tomatoes to make mock strawberry jam, also you can make green tomatoe pie with em, suppose to taste like apple pie... I also make green salsa and relish...

Top relish bottom salsa...
If your willing jem could we trade seed in the fall? I need more cold hardy tomatoes...
I have never had a green tomato. I'm kinda allergic to the red ones so I never tried one.

Sprocket my assisted hatcher. The other three look like sprocket but are bigger. The one I had lost looked like spot

Gramma made the best mince meat pie. I almost barfed when I heard what was in it, she didn't buy it in a jar.
It had chopped green tomatoes, minced beef, lard, spices. It was so good I had to still eat it even after I knew what was in it.

It is fun, because you never know what you will get in your box. Some make you do a couple of days of work a year... Like a help weed the garden day, or a help pick all of the peaches day.

Often they give you recipe print outs....

Tntchix... What was up with the gloves? Allergic to chickie dust?

She always has cuts and scrapes on her knuckles and fingers so whenever she handles kitty litter or chicks, she wears gloves. She doesn't heal quickly so it's a good idea she came up with.

Just discovered this thread

Welcome! Lots of great people here! :D
Just don't mind me, I'm weird... and crazy, lol... ;)

I know a Guinea breeder that double stacks eggs in her incubator...Β  one layer in the egg turner and a second partial layer on top...Β  I think she got a half layer going....Β  leaving room for the air to circulate or something like that.Β  but they were egg on egg I believe.

She had six incubators four of which were 1588s.

Thanks for the tip, Deb... think I want to use the hatcher for incubating if I have too... it's a cabinet too with 3 shelves, then I can use the Genesis for hatching, got 3 staggered hatches going...
But the Leahy seems to have re-stabilized for now, I reset it... keeping fingers crossed...

@tntchix please post pics of that end table after you convert it, would love to see how it works out! Excellent idea! :D
And very cute banty's, who could resist those??? ;)
