Dixie Chicks

Crossbeak can be caused by temp fluctuations in the bator as well, just is the practice of most to assume it is genetic... if it is only slight it usually doesn't get worse... bad ones just get worse... I have a useless roo we kept like that... :/
does he at least eat and drink on his own? I couldn't hand feed a chicken, not for its entire life.

Paint silkies.

Then Isabel leghorns, and the 2 remaining brown split to isabel.

Beautiful... I might need to see if I can get some Paint eggs from you... only have 1 roo, and black hens...

The Isabels are stunning...

Oh, and down to 4 Ohiki... 1 that didn't look like it was developing right finally quit... I tried thinking positive with it, but, eh...

I personally do not do special needs chicks. Krista will not agree to me culling anything..(and she never leaves).
Craigslist works well to rehome free chicks

Blech, we felt sorry for him... never again... he is definitely "special", lol...

He eats crumble just fine, but has to be in a deep dish... sometimes I mix him up yogurt, water, and crumble in a slurry and put it in a hanging dish feeder for him... he's healthy and active, but mule-headed...

:hit on the ohiki! They still haven't laid! Maybe they're mad cause the mandarin ducks moved in with them?

Ha! If their personalities/attitudes are similar to my Araucanas, then they are highly offended and how dare you move messy, stinky ducks into their homes!! lol

Yay on the quail egg tray! Oh, and got a couple pics today too...

I have a black silkie hen and a white silkie cockbird. I may need some paints too.

My fathers best broody ever was a cross beak Japanese black bantam, hatched out tons of RIR eggs, I don't think we ever hear of a 'incubator' back then. She wasn't bad crossed beak though, got along just fine.
