I have found that you can add chicks (I haven't tried ducklings) at different times, BUT the later additions need to be the same colors as the first additions.

the color thing is what worried me. Simce they could be anything, I didn't want momma to single out the newbies.

I'm super happy with this new way. Two have teeny bills. Normally I lose the teeny billed ones first.

I was just trying to avoid having ducks in the house... LOL DH has asthma.
Guessing the patterns will be different on the last 3, colour should be the same...
Plus I just caught broody off her nest for a second time again today. Not sure if she thinks she's done with her golf ball.

Don't meddle briard. It's took me a long time to become a experienced meddler. Even now, I'm still learning.

Quickly built a brooder. Now to decide which fixture to bring into the house.

Not sure if the one that hold the normal light is OK to use with the heat bulb...
