last sunday at church someone asked me "what did you think of the earthquake last week?" I was completely "huh? We had an earthquake?" Turns out it was almost a 7... I totally missed it....

I remember a few years ago we had a earthquake here in ohio. I never felt anything but did find it odd that I left a single empty pop can on the table, about a foot from the edge, and it was laying on its side in the floor the next morning.

We don't have earthquakes in NY, at least I didn't think so. I was leaning over my '78 Catalina putting in a new water pump, thought the kids were rocking the car, hmm, no kids outside, weird, maybe in my head, and I felt weird almost sick all the sudden, to much beer last night? Went back to putting in bolts and the wife came running out "DID YOU FEEL THAT!" Woah! Now I feel really sick! You felt it too! Went in checked online, yup, earthquake down by the city, can't remember the strength and the tremors were felt way past us! I couldn't imagine being in a full blown quake! No Cali for me!

I'd rather have earthquakes than tornadoes... spent 17 years in Colorado and first time I went to Kansas ended up staying the night in Clinton State Park's bathroom... tornado took out a town right next to us... no thanks...

We had a tornado watch yesterday, we don't have them either, but we have. Back in the '90s a few tore up miles of woods, had one go through the town next to us a couple yrs ago, snapped huge trees right next to houses all the way up the road and wiped out a whole area of woods on what we call Sidney Mountain, now you go down old rt.8 and you can see the whole town, never could before. Both instances not a single human or house was damaged! Crazy!

hurricanes, tornadoes, flash floods, earth quakes, volcanic eruptions.....yep been thru all that stuff........
