Dixie Chicks

*sigh*

Poor Lady Grey... no wonder she runs away from them... what in the world am I gonna do???
bachelor boys do well together of they can't get to the girls if you can keep them separated from the others. I have 3 bachelor's left the
at can see and hear hens but don't have access to them and they have done fine. There used to be 7 of them but I sold some.

I figured they'd be fine... but doesn't help me get any duck eggs! lol
And am too attached to them to sell any... :/
Sure hope Crash & Burn are girls... otherwise Lady Grey may stay in the house forever...

I want to pair her with this grey drake (hasn't quite got all his color yet)... he's the smallest too... hoping she'll pass on her size...

Calls are a crap shoot until you get a few generations in. You get a lot of range in size and bill size until you get the he line breeding down and reinforce those wanted genetics.

Anything worthwhile takes time and patience... and they are definitely worthwhile, especially having a grey from yours... :)
Jim absolutely adores them now too so have support in keeping and working with them...
