btw omgosh you guys are sooo bad all these cute cute cute baby chick pictures!!! and violet is broody and just give me an excuse to see if she will sit and hatch em! I started collecting a couple eggs today and will get a couple more tomorrow.... @RavynFallen

Lol, hi jem. I was going to get rid of all my chickens and just focus on the red sussex and white giants. Then I let a broody EE hatch out a couple...ugh lol

If anyone wants to know what's behind the mind of a 9 year old......let me tell you.

Today after work I was cleaning out the rabbit cages. They get nasty QUICK in this heat. Flies like to get in there and lay maggots

. So, DD says "Mom, just think if all those poop balls were rabbit eggs! We'd make a fortune!!!

"

She is all in love with her new kitten

. I am still trying to rehome it.....not very aggressively though. Don't tell DH.

Broke their gallon waterer, going to make a couple five gallon ones with nipples.

lol... you needs some BSF... found out we now have tons of them propagating around our place, fly population has plummeted...

Idk what kind of maggots they are, but the chickens eat them. Yes, they pick thru the rabbit poop-quite vigorously. I think the rabbits just sit and laugh at them

Just be glad they aren't eating the poop, lol... hind gut fermenters poop seems to be a delicacy with some animals... blech...
Extra protein is good though...
