Its black like tar and needs to be applied with gloves or a spatula.... then bandaged because its very sticky.
but its a good antibacterial and antifungal and helps with pain and itch.... as well as drawing salve for abscesses boils and splinters....



sterilie spatula is the best applicator. You dont want your fingers in this stuff. It would be perfect for bumble foot.

These dont have the blossom end spot like blueberries I have seen. They are as hard as a brick. And secrete a sap like substance


Most of the blueberries in the South are "rabbit eye" variety blueberries. They all have the "end spot" or rabbit eye as you describe. Blueberries in cooler climes are likely to lack the "rabbit eye" as they are smooth varieties that do better in cool climates. I have three varieties of rabbit eye blueberries here in West TN. The early and mid season ones are coming in now. The late season variety is not too far behind.

Hopefully a nursery can identify what you have and if it is a blueberry!
