Oh, by the way...

One super possitive thing...

I got both does I wanted bred, bred.

So hopefully the pregnancy will "stick". They will birth at the perfect time... mid March, and the end of March.

This will be the first pregnancy for Feta Face, and I have super high hopes for her...even though she was a free goat... in chicken terms, she isn't all that close to the SOP in milking characteristics (like the wide spaced legs), but I am hoping that simply since she is a pure bred Saanen (breed known for high milk production), that she will produce well and LONG.

The two we are milking right now started out pretty well....but have SUPER tappered off in production.

I KNOW that to be a "proper" breeder you need multiple pens for each breed..... and since I can't add more pens (well, maybe a few more tractors this next summer...but that will not help much...) I should REALLY reduce breeds...but sheesh...not enough willpower here.
