I'd hate to make a post if there's one out there but I've searched and couldn't find anything, so here goes.

What do you use to clean your coop, and how often do you use it? I've got 3hens/1roo in a little coop, they get a big horse stall during the day.

I've come across a recipe but my phone geeked out before I could save it and now can't find it.. I think it was,

Water
White vinegar
Lavender EO
Lemon EO
Tea tree EO
and an Immune blend EO (15-20 drops each EO)

I already use lavender sprinkles in their bedding (works amazingly!!)
And I clean out the bedding about every 2-3 weeks.

I'm guessing this spray is for the heavy duty clean out (once a season? Or more?)

We usually make a spray using 1 part water one part vinegar and a tiny bit of soap. We spray the rocks in the run that have poop on them. It's chicken safe and it breaks the poop down very quickly and helps to keep the flies out

What kind of soap? Do you use. I plan on cleaning my coop this weekend, while its still warm. Thanks

I have wondered about this also. I used vinegar. I don't even dilute it. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, then swish that all out. Then I sprinkle DM. (I know there is debate on this). I feel like that will kill all the bacteria, protazoa and fungi, and any mites. Then I put fresh hay on the floor. So the chickens aren't really in contact with the harshest chemicals. For the perch part where they spend the night, I go lighter and use pine shavings. I am open to better suggestions as well.

has anyone used a diluted bleach solution?

i'm getting ready to do a coop over haul.. i scoop out poopy shavings every 2 days and do a full clean out every 2 weeks.. i could be excessive, but it's a small coop.. if i can smell poop, i imagine it's worse for them.. :)

Do you typically just spray the solution of water/vinegar and drops of soap and leave it on for a few minutes? Do you use a scrub brush like on the rocks or wood rallings, coop?
Basically what is your method!
Thanks
