DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

Cool idea @Black Rabbit Homestead, good video too!
How has it held up, drainage worked as planned?
Did the table provide a launching pad for them to fly over the run wall?
Doesn't look like run has a mesh roof?

Curious too about your climate.....
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!

i live in North east PA, and so far the table is doing well even with the snow load. The only one who has figured out to use it as a launch pad is one mixed bred chicken, and the turkeys. The others are happy dust bathing underneath. The drainage is great and the rye that was in mix grows slowly even throughout the winter.
The con's are that leaves still got d their way through the mesh. Which I believe will just break down and not harm the crop overly much. And the chickens can't get enough of it. So I'll be making more fodder items come spring.

Yeah, plus the under the tables would give them a shady spot to hang out at, plus a good bomb shelter area to run to if some red tail hawk comes by. great if you don't have a cover on your pen.

So, after bumping the post, I realized I actually do have a DIY to contribute. I built this quail hutch a few years ago, though we are now getting out of quail, and I am about to modify it into a chicken coop for the few bantams we have. Will post an update once the modifications are complete!
