Was this chick banded? The Ameraucanas are banded at the hatchery.I bought a Blue Ameraucana from Meyer Hatchery but it has 5 toes. Did I get the wrong breed?View attachment 2668490
I just got some in recently for a friend and they were the cutest chicks ever. Even cuter than Ameraucanas and even silkies.I agree. Looks like a Faverolles. Very boofy, but not Ameraucana.
Or just extra fluffy.Missed that very obvious feature. Whoopsies. Yes, no footsie fluff. Still appears bearded though.
I'd say totally a mix. I think she's a hatchery oops.My mystery chick has gotten bigger. Any guesses on breed now that she has more prominent features?View attachment 2733036View attachment 2733037

Omg! I would keep that one haha!I just got some in recently for a friend and they were the cutest chicks ever. Even cuter than Ameraucanas and even silkies.
I was very tempted to keep this one!View attachment 2668859
The comb is a pea comb, which a Dorking shouldn't have. Maybe an accidental crossing happened without the hatchery knowing? Here's another viewView attachment 2668900
