I see a comb. Looks pullet. More body shots? So this is a month or so old pic but she looks basically the same but the black is all over beak now
Ya I have no clue. I have been collecting just pure light brown eggs and yesterday and today for a darker brown egg with specksI have herd not sure but orpingtons can lay speckled brown eggs.
Her comb is just small, She looks a bit thin there so might be one of the lower ranking pullets. So this is a month or so old pic but she looks basically the same but the black is all over beak now
I’ll get better pics in the morningI see a comb. Looks pullet. More body shots?
I have an Austra white but she’s more of a tan to creme depending on the day. She loves her dirt baths and if I washed her, she’d be just as dirty the next day.Yes the other ones I researched and agree with you on. The whites have me stumped. And the white ones are so dirty they’re looking brown but they’re plain pure white. Can I bathe them?
Thank you. I just am not inclined to wanting a rooster as I want to just enjoy my girls. I don’t really want to breed. Or to have to check eggs etc and I don’t even know what much even to raise chicks from eggs. I just love the girlsResponding to the original question, no you don't need a rooster to encourage egg laying. In fact a bad rooster can cause laying to decline, if he's overbreeding or stressing the girls.
That’s so funny. I love my little flock. They’re so interesting to just sit and watch. I love that they’re being more loving and wanting to be next to me.I have an Austra white but she’s more of a tan to creme depending on the day.
