please help! The shell detached from the membrane this morning and flaked right off when I picked up the egg. I put a little hole where there were no veins in the membrane and it was obvious the duck was trying to break through. It day 31, so that’s why I initially intervened.
Attached is what the egg looks like. The bird is making lots of noise and attempted to continue to break out. HELP!

It’s mallard derived. And it’s definitely alive. It’s peeping. It only externally pipped 30 hours ago.
