I’ve got a six month old Mallard pair and khaki Campbell Pair the hens are both randomly laying. I’ve heard khaki Campbell‘s are pretty good layers, but nothing about Mallards. Is this normal? Is she trying to possibly nest? The eggs I find in different locations almost every day to every other day. Thoughts? Thanks guys!!

yes ducks just lay randomly, don’t let them hatch any eggs until about a year old. it’ll cause issues with the babies if the parents are too young.

My Mallard will sometimes lay either in the run or in her favorite spot in the coop. I wait until 8-830 am. to let everyone out to free range so I don't have to play egg and seek every day lol
