Do people always forget your name?

people often say to me "Hi Taylor Dooie!" (like Do E) but my name is ADAM DUHE` (pronounced Add-um Do-way) they keep calling me by my bros name (many people think we look alike)

i have a name that is gender-nuetral: Shawn.
I STILL get these remarks:
"Oh, i thought you were a guy?"
"Dear Mr. L----" on letters and emails"
"Isn't that a boys name?"

Or when I say my name, I get
"Shawnda? Sharon? Shawnna? "

Most folks will usually take
being gently corrected in good humor.

wendy is what it should be, usually it some how ends up a cindy (which I almost understand)... but LINDA? And the last name... is spelled H U T C H I S O N ..... I painfully spell it out all the time... and what do they write...HutchiNson..(which is actually harder to say).. and then they wonder why my email doesn't work......... thats because you didn't LISTEN... take out the "N"....


I'm horrible remembering names, but I try really hard to get them right when I do!

My name is Kelsee.

It's pretty simple really. Kel and see. like your looking at something.

Yet everyone calls me Chelsea, kaliee, cassie.. ect.

I've heard Chelsea about 5 million times. Even people who have known me for years call me that sometimes.

Or most people say I've never seen Kelsey spelled with two ee's. Well my parents prefered to spell something how it sounds. Kel see. lol

haha. I am one of those wierd people who love long complicated names. And I will for sure have awesomely named kids that people have rarely heard. Like Xavier, Angeliese, Evelyn, Ramie.

HAHAHA! Yep. Mine is Elisabeth. I spell it for people and they STILL spell it with a Z. I also get called Barbara ... way more than is funny ... because my last name is Barber. Why does that make people think my first name is Barbara? No clue. Thank you mom for just being silly enough to spell my first name with an S and not naming me Barbara Barber!

Of course everyone always mispronounces my name, even when I spell it for them. And when I write it down for them alot of times they will correct it,like I misspelled my own name. Tacey, not Tracey, Stacey, Casey or anything else! pronounced TAY-CEE. I always tell them Tracey, with out the "r"!
