Yes. But it doesn't make much sense to me why someone is crazy just because they love animals that are sometimes uncommon to keep as pets.
 
Because some people are closed minded & have robot lives. They do what everybody else does. Never go outside the box. So WE are different to them & different is strange to them
 
I live in a fairly large city and other than the people on my street noone I know (unless I have met them while selling chickens to them or buying from them) have chickens.

They are extremely horrified by the fact that chickens love meat. And the fact I have Silkies, that weirds them out even more--"Black meat?"
 
all my friends call me the crazy chicken lady ..then ask for eggs

most are great about me asking them to pay for them cause they realize that the chcikens need to be fed too..some give me issues and try to barter but i dont back down

My dad tells me you can buy eggs cheaper than you getting them now. We don't eat that many eggs but that is not the point.
He said that store bought eggs are better because they don't get to eat chicken poop. I told him no they just eat dead chickens laying next to them in the cages. He never said another word.
 
Yep- people think I'm crazy all the time. The ones that hassle me about it are treated to non-stop chatter about chickens from me. Nobody wants that- I am good at talking and I can talk chickens for days.

I am gonna tell my friend that the next time she goes on and on about how bad my eggs are cause they are not "clean" (meaning store bought white freaky things..lol)
 
You know whats funny when I had nearly 50 rabbits people said I was WIERD. now that I have 4 rabbits and 30 quail and 7 chickens people dont say anything..... My mother in law kept telling me that I had to get rid of my rabbits and I told her that if any one left it would be the dogs cause I cant eat them..... at least in a pinch O could eat the rabbits and when Itold her I got chiceknss he didnt say anything!!!!! My girlfriend down the street thinks I am weird but that is because she is a clean freak!!!! germs gross her out.... I figure that if you just wash your hands everythign will be ok!


but once again I will echo what others have said I dont care what others think I like my birds and buns!
