do some chickens not lay eggs?

I have one chicken that will not lay an egg no matter what I do.I have removed her from the others.She also happens to be my one problem chicken that bullies the younger ones bad.anyone else hand this problem?

How old is the hen? Some can take a long time to start laying, more than a year even, or just be really poor layers. Some hens have problems with their reproductive systems, like a tumor or damaged ovary etc and are unable to lay. You are sure it is a hen, not a late developing rooster, especially since you say it is a bully?

She is a girl I am sure of it she is about a year old her four sisters have been laying for a long time and ive never had more than four eggs.I'm just not sure what to do with her.

I have a beautiful girl who is a year and 3 months who has only laid one egg 6 months ago!! I was wondering the same thing!! She is VERY healthy otherwise!!

Just love her.... That's what I do... I have others who lay.... I don't care!! As long as she's happy!!!
