Do these eggs look ok? Kinda concerned about them! First time with call duck hatching eggs!

I know you didn't ask but I wanted to share this with you ahead of time. There are two articles that are so incredibly helpful when hatching, especially when hatching calls. Here's one
Assisting Call Duck Hatches
This is the other
Guide to Assisted Hatching for All Poultry

There aren't enough words to express how helpful these articles are.

The first two look okay, the last one has a larger than normal air cell but it still looks like it could make it.

I had some eggs this spring shipped to me. four out of ten had weird air sacs, and two of them hatched just fine. One developed butt up, the other, it's air sac was so saddled it was like the air sac wrapped over the egg in a U and the chick punctured it too early in development before hatch day. This one does not look as bad as that one.
Ok thank you! I’m hoping they make it!!!

Birdsbeestrees hatches a lot of Calls and she's already commented. @WVduckchick was just talking about air cells recently so she might be interested and/or have some input. Good luck! Calls are so sweet and adorable. You're going to fall in love quickly.
Thank you! I’ve wanted calls for a bit now, so to actually have a chance to own some is so exciting to me!!

I am excited for you! I love my Calls but I have to admit there is a downside........ I am addicted to Calls now. They're like potato chips, but instead of "one chip" it's more like "one clutch" or "one color", you can't have just one! They're definitely special 💜

Thank you! 😊

That’s awesome! I’m so excited to add them to the other breeds I’ve got!!!

Just a question, are they noisy? Since there called call ducks.

They can be....... In all honesty, yes they're loud. It's one of the things that I fell in love with first. I will say that my Pekin is just as loud as multiple calls, but she has a different quack. The Calls usually have a rapid quack quack quack, etc which is ~usually~ purposeful, like they're calling something or sometimes it's seems like they're just trying to out quack each other. Of course there are times when they'll quack in slow single quacks, but it's not as much as them actually calling, in my experience. It looks and sounds like the Calls have to really put the effort into being loud. My Pekin is just loud and chatty naturally with total ease. She's more like quack...eat.. .drink...quack quack.... Nap.... Quack, etc. I think she quacks to remind everyone that she's a pretty girl and don't forget that she's there 😂 I LOVE my ducks and chickens loud, so they fit right in and I really enjoy them 💜 I think there's a pretty good possibility of annoyed neighbors with Calls 😂

That’s awesome! I fell in love with calls because of how loud they are (I’d look up call ducks sounds) and how cute their faces are!!!!!!

Another Call duck addict in the making. I love it!

On the candling pics - the last one is what we call saddled. These usually don't cause too much issue, but they can, so just keep a good eye on it. Hopefully the detached part will reattach. The saddled part is just slightly pulled away from the outer shell/membrane, causing it to look bigger than it really is. It happens because of being shaken during shipping. Picture in your head where the actual air cell is, and then where the small gap between the membranes is. I used to draw a solid line on the actual air cell, then a dotted line on the saddled part, to monitor it. You could try it if you want. Best of luck with the hatch!

As to their volume - I agree with @HeatherKellyB , mine are usually only loud for a reason, they aren't loud constantly. My pekin girl was super-loud ALL THE TIME! The calls can be loud, but the overall volume is much less, in my opinion. Kinda like a bantam rooster's crow vs. a full sized rooster's crow.

This might give you a little sampling. :D
