Do Y'all Eat Livers, Gizzards, and Hearts?

Funny, I saw this post after eating some fried chicken livers for lunch. I love 'em dipped in ketchup. I use them in dirty rice, eat them fried or smothered in onions and gravy. I grew up on them, but my family doesn't appreciate them the way I do. I think the freshest ones (straight from my birds) taste the best, especially the gizzards.

Speaking of picking the neck (and other parts)...my granny used to give me the tail when I was very little. That was the treat! Of course now I just think YUCK!

RE: Fried Chicken Livers

Dear Mrs. Broncbuster07,

Mr. Broncbuster07 is craving a fried chicken liver supper. Could you please find it your heart to provide a deserving man such as himself with such a meal?

If the answer to the above request is a resounding 'no' by which method would he be able to entice you into providing that long sought after meal?

Jewelry? Perfume? An entire weekend of him doing your household chores? Name your price. I am sure all channels of negotiation are open.

One thing we women have on our side is the knowledge that we can catch alot more flies with honey than vinegar. This could be used to your advantage to catch more 'favors' with fried chicken liver suppers.

Thanking you in advance,
MissPrissy

My daddy used to fry up chicken livers and gizzards, cut up some limburger cheese get a cold beer and sit on the patio having his snack because my mom wouldn't let him eat that stuff in the house!

The comment on asian preventative medicine is right on point. My mother-in-law makes special soups to keep us healthy. My father-in-law says a trip to the herbalist can cost him upwards of $500. We seldom get sick...must have something to do with it...

There is no price too high for a really good homemade fried chicken liver supper with all the fixin's and the trimmin's.

You know this.

So does your mother.

Perhaps this explains why you haven't been getting a fried chicken liver supper ...
