DO you belong to a Poultry club? and why or why not?

curious minds want to know-- ok just me-lol- but I was researching ( ok got me again- surfing) and saw lots of poultry clubs I could join ABA , APA , SIlkie CLubs, Serama clubs, A abantam club that is close to me-- and i wandered how useful are thse organizations? what do they offer? is it only for "show" ppl? How do clubs form? so I thought I would ask my favorite best friends with chickens- and random strangers- for feedback-- so tell me all I need to know

BYC is it for me, too. There is nothing like that here in N. Louisiana.

They are great if you are interested in a particular breed. I joined the Araucana Club when I decided to get into the breed and everyone so far has been great. You can meet up with other members and it is a great way to make new friends and get your hands on some great birds. I say join if you have found one you like.

I agree, you should join one that you're interested in. I'm a member at the APA, ABA, ASBC, and New England Bantam Club.

Just BYC but trying to get in a few. To old for 4-H but maybe I could become a teacher or something?
