I have been every shade of red imaginable!! i love RED! it's my fav. My "real " hair is BORING BROWN! blech.

I am a brunette with one huge silver streak in the front. I suppose you could say I have salt and pepper hair since the silver is starting to spread out. I like it though. I have had the silver streak since I was a teenager.

I've been doing mine since I was in high school. I'm in my 50's now. My natural color is dishwater blonde, yuck!

I've done it all blonde, burnette and red head. I keep going back to the red, it's my favorite.

Wanna know something that sends me over the edge?

My mother likes red hair too and she makes no bones about keeping her hair colored.

Her hair stylist often exceeds the proper shade of auburn and when she is in the sunshine it casts hues of purple.

Makes me grit my teeth. She doesn't believe it when you tell her because in the 'bathroom mirror' it looks a different red.

i'm a natural red-head and over the years it's gotten dull and turning towards a brown color i didn't like at all , so i had it hightlighted as a xmas present to myself...wow, i really like it now and get alot of compliments. I'll keep it this way now since it looks much better.

My colorist is awesome, I get hi-lights and low-lights put it. A light golden blonde will give redheads a nice gold hi-light that looks very natural, the low-light is usually in the redish brown family. This combo looks very natural and i love it. During the process I could probably pick up satellite signals since my hair is wrapped in foil (blonde color) and paper (for the darker color). I can usually get by for 4-5 months before the grey starts to show bad enough that i give in and go back.

Nope, I've got brown hair, long too, and have no wish to change it (I have natural auburn and blonde highlights too).

I've been considering giving it a try as the grey is getting out of hand. Like many mentioned there is no way I'm going to get my natural color out of a bottle. My auburn hair has grown darker as I age, indoors it looks like brunette with red and blond highlights but in the sun all the red comes out. For now I'm dealing with the grey and since it's grown out since my last donation I'm even letting it air dry and dealing with the curls.

Let me tell you, I've definitely got the personality to pull off the red hair!
