I can just hear you describing your tattoos to someone:
"Yeah, you see I have this one with a roo on a noose going into the bubbling hellbroth cauldron. Then there's the upright broiler, and finally the Barred Rock neck tat that freaks everyone out it's so real looking."
I really love the last one, especially the realism of it, but I would like a full body shot of a chicken, right across my heart

Fat people are seen as "unclean", unkempt and "droop" too, but that's just other people judging what is just another human being, isn't it?
Tattoo's usually mean something to the person getting them. It's really no one else's call to say you're ugly, unclean, etc. because of how you choose to decorate yourself. I've got one and I'm proud of it. I got it when I was 19 by the way, have never regretted it. I now have four kids and am nearly twice the age I was when I got it. My Navy DH has one (he didn't have to sign a waiver as soon as 7 years ago, but I just asked and now you do) and he's thrilled with his mermaid sitting on an anchor. Oh and he's not some sort of ruff and tumble, bar creep either, just because he's in the Navy and has a tattoo.
It's time for the horizons in some people's minds to catch up with the rest of the world. There's whole races of people that get tattooed as a right into manhood in other places. That's certainly not seen as a negative.
Asher simply wanted to see some tattoos. Not start a thread that's probably going to get stopped here soon. As it's already been pointed out, there was a whole thread with these pics already and it was very lovely! There were some beautiful tattoos on there and you can tell, a lot of time, thought and effort went into most of the artwork on them.
If you can't show a pic of your tattoo or be open minded ABOUT them, simply ignore the thread. Easy as that.
