Do you chart it or just go from memory? We keep track on the calendar, brown and green each get tallies for the day.

I have just started doing this a week ago.

Just started working on an EXCEL spreadsheet as of the 10th. I am finding myself tweaking it almost daily to keep track of averages and totals.

Yup, I have an excel spreadsheet. Guess I've totally lost it to chickenitis.

OK...another symtom of chicken addiction I guess.....

YEP...I have a pocket calendar on the wall over the nest boxes...LOL...I write which box, how many, and what time they were collected....now have to condense and organize the data....but I have it written down since first egg back in Aug.....

WE NEED A SUPPORT GROUP!!!!!! actually I guess we all have one..... backyardchickens.com LOL

Hi, my name is Tom, and I'm a chicken addict.

I currently have an Excel spreadsheet with

- Date
- eggs/day
- cost per egg
- average cost/doz.
- expenses
- quarterly cost and annual cost

I am working on an Access Database so I can keep track of my 5 chickens with criterias such as which one laid an egg for the day, break down "profitability" of each hen and whatever other crazy thing I want.

Sick, I know.

I do, but not very well. I write on our desk calendar how many I collect each day, but that is as far as it goes.
