I was told I don't look anything like a chicken person ! I do like nice clothes, pretty shoes, and take time to do hair and makeup. I have mucked out in my wedge heels before which wasn't such a good plan.

I don't look like I have chickens.....at least no one has ever approached me in public and said "hey, you look like you've been in a chicken coop this morning, lemme ask you a question...."

I mostly dress in fashionable clothes, unless there is chicken work to be done. Then all bets are off. The day I added the egg-collection door to the back of the coop I ended up with my fanny covered in pine shavings from sitting in the coop installing a second roost.

I don't look like I have any kind of animals, and out in public I don't act like it either. Prissy girl in skinny jeans and a high ponytail...

I bought these really cute rubber muck boots to wear to check on the birds, keeps the pants and shoes clean! Then people find out I have massive hairy dogs, ducks, chickens, rabbits... first question is always "Wow, do you live on a farm?".... Nope, right down the road actually. Guys normally say "At least you have real dogs instead of a dog in a purse"... Yeah, I guess. You're lucky I don't have a duck in my purse.

Now when I had a horse, I was known to show up at work with bits if hay in my hair. Random strangers would start picking stuff off me.

Everyone assumed I rode English, which wasn't really the case.
