I, too, played the part of the magician's assistant, holding boards and tape measures, all that. And so many times I said, "It's perfect, honey, they're just chickens, they don't know if it's perfectly level/painted to match/evenly spaced/wrinkle free/lined up just right..." And I appreciated every effort, too--lucky both of you to have each other!

I build mine by burning 2 credit cards to the ground. The first one was converting an out bldg to coop and adding run. Then some fool ordered more chickens. Second card went to coop additions and runs. I now have a tri-plex coop and runs. O yea i'm still not done.

I do owe a neighbor a big thanks for his help(he was loading stuff on the cart at home depot like someone else was paying for it).
