That is too cute! I love when the chicks do that! I had to laugh last night because my Silkie hen Heidi is still broody over her two 7 week old chicks, and I brought them all inside last night, and little Wilbur was trying to cram herself (yeah, my mom named it Wilbur, and it turned out to be a pullet, and my older DD named the other one Ramsey, and it's a pullet too!) up under Heidi, and I was laughing cause Wilbur is getting big, so her rear end was sticking out from under Heidi's wing. I reached down and tickled the chick who made sounds like I was annoying her, and tried to cram further under Heidi. Heidi just had this look of pure contentment on her face. She started out with 4 chicks, I gave her Wilbur and Ramsey after their mother abandoned them, so that made 6. 3 disappeared completely, no idea what happened to them, one I brought inside, so all she has left are Wilbur and Ramsey, and I think she might just brood over them until they lay their first eggs! Lol! She LOVES being a mom. I can pop anything under her and she will raise it. She is such a good girl. My other Silkie hen Holly has been broody for awhile now, but I think her chicks are hatching, and then walking over to my Cochin hens who raise them, cause Holly has been on her nest for quite awhile now. Broodies are such wonderful mamas. I just love watching them peck around the yard with their babies. It just feels so "right", like everything is the way it's suppose to be when I see them.
